报告人简介：

林延平教授，1982年在东北大学获得学士学位，1988年美国华盛顿州立大学获得博士学位。历任加拿大阿尔伯特大学终身教授，香港理工大学应用数学系教授、副主任，主要研究兴趣为偏微分方程和科学计算，担任Discrete and continuous dynamical Systems, Series B，Dynamics of Continuous, Discrete and Impulsive Systems, Series B，Advances in Numerical Analysis和International Journal of Numerical Analysis and Modeling期刊的副主编或创刊人，在国际计算数学权威期刊SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis、SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis等期刊上发表若干学术论文。
